Abundance Counseling Services offers immigration evaluations (for adults 18 years and older) for extreme hardship, survivors of domestic abuse (VAWA), U visas, and political asylum cases.
There are times when a psychosocial evaluation is helpful in order to move forward with immigration proceedings. I offer psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases, which are often used in the following situations:
VAWA and Spousal Abuse
I aim to create a compassionate, empathic and caring environment for clients. My approach is to work closely with your attorney and yourself to provide a thorough and efficient evaluation process in a safe and welcoming environment.
For Spanish-speaking clients, I offer therapy / evaluations in Spanish and I offer evening and weekend appointments to provide you with quick turnaround time.
The evaluation consists of an in-person interview followed by several scales (questionnaires) to assess current symptoms. Results from the scales are integrated into the narrative from the interview. A report is then drafted and sent confidentially to your attorney. Once they approve the final draft, a final report is emailed / faxed / mailed to the attorney handling your case.
1. Call 281.940.5820 or complete the contact me box below to schedule an evaluation appointment. Instructions regarding documents to complete and provide prior to your appointment will be given.
2. First session lasts approximately 90 minutes; A comprehensive psychosocial evaluation will be completed during this time.
3. Second session lasts approximately 30 to 50 minutes. At this session follow up / clarification questions will be completed (if needed). However, it is expected that the report will be completed and the results will be discussed.
The fee for an immigration evaluation is $600. 50% is due at time of first session and final 50% is due at second / final session.
