Healthcare Workers
Providing therapy for healthcare workers is a unique specialty that focuses on supporting those who dedicate their lives to caring for others. Healthcare professionals often experience high levels of stress, compassion fatigue, moral injury, and burnout due to the emotional and physical demands of their work. As providers, we create a confidential and supportive space where they can process the cumulative impact of witnessing trauma, facing ethical dilemmas, and balancing personal and professional responsibilities.

Therapeutic interventions for healthcare workers include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to address secondary and direct trauma, Somatic Experiencing (SE) to help regulate the nervous system and release stored stress responses, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reframe unhelpful thought patterns and reduce anxiety or guilt. Additionally, Mindfulness-based and Compassion-Focused therapies are used to enhance self-compassion and presence, while supportive processing and boundary-setting work help clinicians reconnect with purpose, meaning, and sustainable self-care.
