Mental Health Practitioners
At Abundance Counseling Services, treating mental health providers is one of our specialties. We understand the unique challenges that come with holding space for others—compassion fatigue, burnout, vicarious trauma, boundary strain, and the constant demand for emotional presence. Our work focuses on helping therapists, social workers, first responders, and other helping professionals reconnect to their own sense of balance, purpose, and regulation. We provide a confidential and affirming space for providers to process their experiences, tend to secondary trauma, and rediscover the joy and meaning in their work.
Forms of Intervention

Our approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based, body-informed modalities designed to help providers heal deeply and sustainably. These include:
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for processing professional and personal trauma.
-
Somatic Experiencing (SE) to restore nervous system balance and release accumulated stress.
-
Brainspotting to access and resolve the emotional impact of clients’ stories and professional stressors.
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reframe unhelpful beliefs about worth, responsibility, and perfectionism.
-
Mindfulness and grounding practices to increase presence and self-regulation.
-
Reflective consultation and psychoeducation to promote self-awareness and professional sustainability.

Through these methods, we aim to help mental health providers not just recover—but reconnect with the parts of themselves that led them to this work in the first place.
